Nice to see that XEONS (e.g. E3-12xxv2) have been added back to the supported list of CPUs (they were missing in the previous drop)
Thank you kevin, I answer you step by step:
1) I bought the CPU on Amazon, yesterday I request a warranty replacement, and tomorrow I will test the new one (always a 4670k).
2) The motherboard it's new (after another warranty replacement: I made an exclusion process: I changed RAM, Mortherboard, HDDs and PSU) and I just updated the bios the same day that I received it. But the BSOD appears anyway, and randomly.
3) Just did that, and I also tested each RAM under Memtest without errors.
4) The Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool freeze reading the Cache size: it not fail, simply continuously try to read cache size. I closed the tool after 10 minutes of freezing.
I also excluded a driver problem: I had a BSOD also during first installation of Windows...
I'm going crazy behind this error xD
Greetings
Enrico
?? I do not understand you
Hi,
I have Galileo with a 3G sim card shield connected to it. I want to gather some performance metrics about the network such as as available data capacity/throughput, latency and contention?
I'm not a networks guy, would anybody know how to do this?
Thanks

Hello rrecroc,
Bluetooth* and Wi-Fi uses the same antennas. Bluetooth wireless technology and 802.11b/g/n both use the 2.4 GHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific, Medical) unlicensed spectrum, and in some configurations can interfere with each other that may cause this. On the other hand, if your router is a single-banded one, you will only use the speeds available for 2.4GHz even though the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 is dual band. Please check this link as it can help you improve your speed.
Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Quick Checks That Might Improve or Fix Connection Issues you may also want to check this: Support for the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265
If this wireless card came already installed in your computer when you bought it and if you also need to install any driver or update your computer, we highly recommend that you consult your computer manufacturer first, as they are the only ones entitled to provide you the list of updates and drivers that are compatible with your system.
Hello, I tried all those solutions but still no luck please help me
Hi Amus,
I will suggest you to check the Shield Testing Report. On page 76 you will find a test report for the Arduino* GSM Shield. There are some notes about it, including a note regarding the SoftwareSerial library and a test code as well. At the end of the report it states that this shield is Edison compatible so I think you will find it very useful.
Regards,
Diego.
Hi jonathan_intel,
Perfect - thank you: I don't mind it being turned off every time upon Windows entering standby/hibernate and reinitialized upon Windows resuming.
Worked for me! Thank you William!!
I have updated opkg but still cannot find boost to install. If I install it from url, it fails to resolve some dependencies...
thx for the help so far in the old thread, which is unfortunately locked.
I have an Intel AC 7260 desktop network card and I still have this problem: When I wake up my PC from hibernation mode via wake on lan (magic packet) i have limited access and no connection to the Internet. I always have to reconnect to regain full access.
Important: When I check "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" as advised before and leave the other two options unchecked (allow to wake from hibernation and only allow magic packets to activate), I don't have this problem (when waking my PC with mouse or keyboard).
But in order to use wake on lan, I need to check all three options. Basically, wake on lan works fine, with the only issue of not having a connection after booting.
A have also activated Intel Smart connect technology (ISCT) in BIOS and installed the corresponding software. ISCT is supported by my PC, but I don't think it is somehow connected to my issue anyway.
Thanks for your help in advance.
I have windows 8.1 x64, and 17.13.11.5 drivers installed for the AC7260 adapter.
Hi, thanks for the help,
I've installed the update and it seemed to fix the problem at first, but when I wake my PC after a longer period (not just right after I put it to hibernation, but over night),
the issue is still there. The connection symbol (wifi) in windows 8 looks normal after booting, but then the question mark appears after 30-60s. I'm not sure whether it looses connection after a while or whether windows takes some time to recognize that there is no connection at all. Reconnecting still helps.
