Hello there,

It looks like you have  an integrated graphics card from ASUS. We're the same, I have a Intel HD Graphics 4000 from Acers website.

How bout try to check for updates with device manager? Heres how

Go to Device manager > click Display Adapters > Click your Intel Graphics Driver >  Then click Driver >  Then click update driver  >  Then choose "Search automatically for updated driver software "

Hope this helps.

Johnny2,

I know it is not what you want perse to hear but a solution could be to make use of a so called cec adapter, this because intel nuc's dont have build in cec. You can take a look at pulse-eight.

Another solution could be to make use of kodibuntu or openelec with kodi (xbmc). With the cec-adapter it will set your nuc into sleep when you turn your tv out.

The problem you have is i think as follow:

You have a tv with cec, your soundbar also has cec ? When you put your tv into sleep mode the soundbar wil get in sleepmode too. When you activate your tv the soundbar will turn ok due the cec. The nuc you have to wake up manually, but somehow it still remembered the sound device is turned off. With the cec adapter you wont have that problem because when you turn off your tv all devices will get into sleep incluiding your nuc. I have myself a same setup and it works flowless here. Perhabs give it a try!

Hi RescateHistoricoNetworks,

Sorry for the late reply.

Can you provide your motherboard or system model so I can try to find the right driver for your network connection?

Please indicate your Windows* version too.  Thanks.

I suggest to install PROSet Software so you'll have the "Use Default" option.

Looking forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Sandy

Edited post above after some detailed performance testing with the BIOS settings.

Re: Wake from S4/5 from USB not working

EDITED:

Thank you for considering my problem.

All the details:

NUC5i3RYK

BIOS: Two different BIOS’s – 1st - RY0246.BIO, 2nd - RY1944.bio

OS: Win 8.1 64 bit.

Keyboard: Logitech K930.

Settings in BIOS:

1. All settings identical to your's above - Can get USB keyboard wake from S4 (Hibernate), cannot get wake from S5 (Off).

2. All settings the same as your's avbove except 'Wake on LAN from S4/S5' unchecked: Cannot get any 'Wake on USB from S5' or wake from S4.

Why is there an interaction between the Wake from LAN settings and the USB action?

I had initially disabled Wake from LAN because the NUC keeps doing exactly that; every time another PC on the network looks at the network shares, the NUC wakes up and boots, which I don't want as this is a HTPC  At the moment, I can't recomend this as a HTPC because of these wierd power switching issues.

Can you please test your setup in the Lab with 'Wake on LAN from S4/S5' disabled, and report what happens? Testing needs to include both the off condition and the hibernate condition. Thank you in advance for any response to this as it would be most appreciated. If I can't get this working I will need to return this device as faulty.

warm regards,

Hobentus

Intel i7-4710HQ stucked at 1800mhz?

Hello,

I have a Lenovo Y50-70 with an Intel i7 4710HQ, wich most of the time, i am using it with the lid closed and connected to a 28 inch external monitor. Everything is fine, until i put my computer to sleep. When i resume from sleep, the frequency of the CPU will be stuck at maximum 1800 mhz. If I open the lid just a little bit, to have an image on the laptop monitor, the speed is back to normal, at 2500 mhz. Close it, and again back at beeing stuck at 1800 mhz. I have the same problem on Windows 7 and Windows 8, with every power plan available. Also, i have the same problem, when i disconnect the laptop from the monitor, just to get it in bed with me. While im running on the laptop monitor, the cpu speed is fine but when i get the external monitor connected again, the cpu is stuck at 1800 mhz. The only sollution is to restart the laptop. After that, it will run fine just until i put the computer to sleep or i disconnect  the monitor from it and connect it again. So, how can i fix this problem?

Dear RescateHistoricoNetworks,

Thank you for providing your system information.

You may refer to our website for the default values of advanced settings:

http://www.intel.com/support/network/adapter/pro100/sb/CS-029402.htm

In case you still encounter poor connectivity, here are the settings you can try under Performance Options:

1. Interrupt Moderation Rate - OFF

2. Increase Receive Buffers - Default 512 / Range 128 - 2048 in increments of 64

3. Increase Transmit Buffers - Default 512 / Range 128 - 16384 in increments of 64

For Receive and Transmit Buffers, you may set it to 1024 or max at 2048

I thought you could not get any keyboard to work.

In my case I had at least one that worked.

Well at least I have a plan B but it would still be cool if I could get it to work like this.
