I am having similar issues. When I try and run Intel Driver Update Utility it doesn't stop "analyzing computer." I've tried running it from Chrome and from IE11, as admin and as guest, with EMET 4.0 installed and uninstalled. I have Win 7 and recently did a fresh install.
I went through the downloads page instead and downloaded Win64_15338.exe and installed the driver directly rather then using the utility. But after I installed it and did a system reboot, the monitor doesn't turn on after reboot. The windows logo shows, but once I get to the logon page, the monitor won't display any video. So I do I restart and go into safe mode and everything works. I modified the power settings to Maximum Performance, reboot into normal mode, and again the monitor doesn't work. So I go into BIOS and modify the Processor Graphics settings to "onboard" from "pci express." Rebooted, and again the monitor doesn't work. So finally I just did a system restore & reset the BIOS and reverted to the previous driver so that everything works now.
BUT....the whole reason I wanted the driver update to begin with is that my PC is having problems with audio and video. I'll be playing Pandora, and every hour or 2, the audio just locks up. In addition, I can't play HD video content without it locking up. Seriously, I wonder if something isn't wrong with my Processor.
