Dear forum members, please let me vent just a tiny bit here.
I have spent far to much of my time trying to get up to speed on something that is clearly not ready for the general population.
I know the intel documentation / software guys are working their fanny off trying to get everything up to speed. I dont blame them at all, in fact i thank them for all their help here. Who i do blame is top level of management. he or she her has their head so far up their ****** its not even funny by forcing a product to market far before its time. So to Mr. Ying Yang (management) You might want to have a visit to Raspbery Pi, and see how a small group of guys like them can pull off a feat far greater than a super large company with all your resources like you has done. I am dumbfounded that Intel has done such a **** poor job on the whole Edison thing so far.
Intel, i know your listening.... You better get your act together quickly because even though this Edison is the best thing since sliced bread your going to put such a sour taste in everyone's mouth and create yourself a bad reputation in the embedded world that you will never recover from. What we need is a sound source for the proper updates, clearly written step by step in the getting started guide and not in the forums for people to hunt and find it. Why this was not already part of the release makes no sense. Let alone using Yocto for the OS, The majority of companies out there making embedded linux boards/ modules & SoC's are using debian. But that is a argument for another time.
Thanks forum guys for the vent, i needed that....
