Hi, this is my first time posting. I seem to have hit a dead end trying to access my Galileo’s onboard Linux.

I’m working on a Mac OS X.

I’ll take you through all the steps I have been:

1. I’ve set up the Galileo, rebooted it and loaded the blink sketch.

Port is set to /dev/cu.usbmodemfa121.

Board is set to Galileo.

2. The Blink Sketch runs. Now I go through the Mac Os steps from drive installation found here:

https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/galileo-getting-started-guide/driver-installation

3. I find the galileo in my system information:

4. I look under my Network Tab for the galileo and port number.

I find the Gadget Serial 2.4V. However a blank description.

5. Trying to Access Linux - I first follow spark funs guide at

https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/galileo-getting-started-guide/using-the-terminal

Plug in the 3.5mm to DB9 RS-232 cable

6. I then open cool term and set the Baud Rate to 115200 and port to usbmodemfd121

7. I then hit connect and get: Nothing! When I type the TX light responds but thats it.

8. I run the sketch on spark fun and it works on Cool Term!:

It works! But when I type anything I get... No response.

——So I’m not sure where to go from here, I did play around on my Terminal on Mac but got no where, can anybody suggest anything or notice some setting that might be out of place?
