Hello GHS, I am sorry to hear you are having problems with your system when trying to use WIDI.

I would suggest you to check if you can restore your computer to the last working state by choosing “System Restore” once you’re in Windows.

 

You can also try by uninstalling all drivers and then install them again.

Please use the Intel(R) WiDi update tool when installing WIDI http://supportkb.intel.com/wireless/wireless-display/templates/selfservice/intelwidi/#portal/1026/article/16168

You may also try installing the drivers provide by your laptop manufacture, since ours are generic.   http://supportkb.intel.com/wireless/wireless-display/templates/selfservice/intelwidi/#portal/1026/article/2497
